How you can Help Out Archflambeoth!

All of our projects are NOT for us, they are for YOU, but "How you can help yourself" didn't sound quite right.

Poets & Writers

Submit your Poetry. - What's the use of a poetry site if there's no poetry? If your poem rhymes, is free-form, does circles across the page, is three lines long, takes up three pages, whatever, we'll probably display it on Archflambeoth. Those works we really like we'll ask you if we can put in our next anthology, Mumbles.

Submit your Rambles. - "What the heck is a Ramble?", well it's pretty much a very loose structured peice of prose that goes on an on about something, or maybe it's a small essay that goes off topic a lot, or it could be something strictly structred that just doesn't "feel" like a poem. It doesn't really matter how you define them, they're pretty cool, and we like them, so if you have any, please share!!

Submit your Stories. - Hmm... That should be submit your "short" stories. If you have an entire novel that you'd like to put on the web, then we'll link to it, but not host it on our site. But we're pretty lenient on submission length. Though in any area of Archflambeoth we don't accept X rated material, and please don't include too much vulgar material. Also make sure you proofread your works, at the moment we sometimes take the time to edit and reformat works, but we'd rather not, so don't be surprised if we reject your work based on formatting problems. (don't play with colored fonts, different fonts[besides Times New Roman, Arial, and basic windows fonts] and add spaces, commas, etc, where you need to, and don't where you don't.)

Submit an Audio Work - Poetry was meant to be heard. It is often described as "The essence of the spoken word" - which pretty much means people need to say it outloud. Record yourself reading a poem, or other prose, and upload it to your own server. Then let us know you did that, and we'll put a link to it from our Audio Poetry section. If you need help with any of this, feel free to e-mail me and I'll lend a hand or two.

Add Your Bio - If you're already submitting works to Mumbles, then here's your chance to tell a little bit about yourself in the book your works appear in. Please keep it kinda short and sweet, and we can only add your bio if we accept one or more of your works for publication.

Participate in The Story - In Citalatal we have a really neat project running, where we ask YOU to write us a little bit of the story each time you visit. It has already taken some neat twists and turns that I would never have thought of myself. Just stick to the subject, stay relativly serious, and use your imagination!

Tell us of any Poetry events, or readings - Is there a small poetry reading in your area? How about a one-time event that's about to take place that deals with literature in some way? Let us list it on our site, and who knows who'll show up!

Webmasters

Exchange Links with us - The latest news is out on what is the best method to get visitors to your site. Direct Links. If someone adds a link to your site of their own free-will, then your site must be worth visiting. With our Mystic Circle, we've got room to link to just about everyone, and if we can get people to start using it as their starting point to surf the web, our nifty categories will lead them straight to your link. (No Porn sites!)

Join our Banner Exchange - If you have a banner already or not, we can display one for you not only throughout our site, but on the sites of everyone else who's joined as well. This is a great way to advertise just to those people who would be intrested in your site, which makes it more effective per display than any other type of banner advertising you could do. (Poetry and Original Writing sites only)

Join our Webring - Well, this one's just getting started, and I'm going to be a bit picky on who I let join. Mostly if your site seems to add something important and all its own to the WWW, then you're free to join.

Submit your Articles and News - Pretty soon I'll be redesigning the intro page to add some changing elements. If you already have a poetry or literature website, then any time something newsworthy happens on it, submit an article to us and we'll put it on our main page with a link or two back to your site. A good technique might be to give us the start of an article, then finish it on your site and end with a little "continue" button.

Comment on the site - Do you see a dead link anywhere? Are one of our pages missing? Is something hard to read, understand, or is misspelled? Have an idea that could improve our site? We're setting out to create the BEST website on the internet, with not only original works, but original ideas backing the website itself. We're always open to criticism, and comments, so drop us a line.

Anyone

Order Freaks' Thoughts - if you like any of the poetry on this site, then you'll love our first book. We started this project when I was in the tenth grade, and finished it right after I graduated. This is a collection from our high-school years, but you'll be amazed that a lot of it was written by authors so young. It is also a good buy if you are planning on submitting works to Mumbles, as if we use the same publisher then this is the same size and weight and everything as the new book.

Pre-Order Mumbles - "Are you ever going to publish Mumbles?" Yes. "When?" Beats me... We were planning on having it out early next year, but as it's all funded out of my own pocket, its publishing date got canceled when my car broke down and I had to buy a new one. If you pre-order a copy or two for $10 each, I'll put the money aside in a small fund I have for it, and whenever that sum is enough to publish the book, you'll be one of the first ones with your own copy.

Join the Mumbles Cover Contest - Freaks' Thoughts had a white on black plain text cover. That was all fine and dandy, but we want Mumbles to stand out, be impressive. Send us your own original artwork, and out of those works sent to us we're going to pick on to grace the cover of our next book.

Visit our Forum - We'd like to start a community of poets and writers to meet here in Archflambeoth. Visiting the forum once a day, or once a week, and displaying your poetry instantly, or giving feedback to others would help more than you would know. Also our forum is easy to use, and anyone can use it without registering or anything.

Donate Money - This is my least favorite, which is why it is listed last. I don't like to ask for money for anything, but unless we can find a publisher to pick us up, this very well might be the only way we can get Mumbles published in a decent amount of time. I'm thinking it will take at least $2,500 to get it, probably a little more. We don't ask you to give the whole amount, but anyone who donates over $15 is promised a free copy of the book, and a LOT of thanks.
