FUN HOUSE
My aunt took me to a carnival,
Said it was fun being confused
In a house with mirrors for walls.
Once inside, I saw my friends
Watching me, waiting for me
To make myself look ridiculous.
It seemed absurd, for anyone
Could distinguish an empty space
From a reflection in a mirror.
At first I walked right through
Without bumping into anything.
I noted a red nosed man
Who kept bumping into mirrors.
He has hired. But others
Imitated his blunders, laughed.
Soon, I saw my friends were disappointed
In me. I could see my friends
Hated my navigating skill.
I had a feeling I was losing my friends,
So I deliberately bumped into a mirror.
My friends were hilarious and happy.
